10-piece techno

Having ditched the computers they used to arrange ‘You Make Me Real’, The Brant Brauer Frick Ensemble have expanded the trio band to a ten-piece so they can play handcrafted dance grooves completely live. The hotly anticipated album, recorded with their full 10-piece Ensemble, will be released at the end of October. True to BBFE form, ‘Pretend’ is a medley of clicking and clacking organic instrumentation executed in the form of a meticulous techno progression:

This dusty, kicking house bootleg was sent over by the Bootleg Bastards. With tongue firmly in cheek, Quinten 909 turn the vintage sample into a cheeky, upbeat disco remix:

Being somewhat adverse to club music James Vincent turned this edit down, confining it to a life in eternal bootleg / blog limbo. Of course, the edit actually couldn’t be any more far removed from the club sound. Thanks go to the fantastic House of Disco blog for this one:
