One of our favourite disco duos, 6th Borough Project, return in March with their long-awaited second album Borough 2 Borough – and preview clips of the entire LP have been uploaded to Soundcloud.
6th Borough Project is the potent pairing of Glaswegian producers The Revenge and Craig Smith. The alias has given way to a number of highly-sought edits and disco dubs over the years, many of which were released via the now defunct Instruments of Rapture imprint. Their debut album on Delusions Of Grandeur, too, was a nifty collection of deep, disco-infused house tracks; suprisingly, populated with just as many dancefloor weapons as low-slung chuggers.
Both Graeme Clark and Craig Smith have enjoyed a busy couple of years away from the Borough alias: Graeme launched his new label Raw Groove under his Revenge moniker; and Craig started his own imprint Fifty Fathoms Deep.
Riddled with catchy samples and dusty funk grooves, Borough 2 Borough is looking just as essential as any of the duo’s output over the past six years. Preview the samples below.
The album’s release in March will follow a single in February.
