Another french electro banger. Emerging from a ‘hip-hop background’, Digikid-84 hold a certain nostalgia for the past – their love of 80′s cartoons and retro tunes is plastered all over their myspace page. They’re two 23 year old producers using energetic drums and 80′s style synths to craft sheer brilliance.
‘B.BOY Underground’ is their best so far – a retro-funky, jittery tune. Catchy as hell and, unlike every other current electro production, copes without the over-used heavy distortion sound. And works wonderfully. Envigorating.
