Another heady concoction of 90′s house and garage by way of Kerri Chandler’s MadTech Records. The title track is nothing new, in fact it’s achingly similar – in style at least – to the abundance of 90’s throwback stuff which continues to be knocked out at an alarming rate.
Nonetheless it’s an almost pristine production that up and grabs you with its vigour. A nice quirk is the cavernous intro in which a Whitney Houston sample switches between a high and low pitch, but things become a little more procedural once the track breaks into a steadier house beats at the two and a half minute mark.
Stuffed full of 90’s rave tropes, ‘Turn On The Faith’ ups the ante: spitting out old school synth stabs, rap snippets and tough ghetto-tech rhythms. Someone, somewhere (probably in East London) is shuffling away to this like their life depended on it.
A vivacious and promising second release from an aspiring producer still in his teens.
