You may well have noticed that the Pelski blogging machine has recently ground to a complete halt. With a couple of holidays in Portugal and Ibiza out of the way, it’s time to get the wheel moving again with a couple of summer jams…
Last summer was dominated by the stripped back, floor-smashing ‘Calypso’ -all steel drum melody backed up by hefty pads – courtesy of Round Table Knights and the lesser know Bauchamp. Also hailing from Switzerland, Bauchamp have handed out a track on a similarly tropical tip, this time fitted with some hollowed-out percussive beats and stunted piano chords. It’s a satisfyingly rough and bouncy production (and, yes, this one’s been floating around for more than a couple of months):
Bauchamp – Don’t Care {HQ 320 aiff} [pelski highly recommends]
Sleazy funk from the ever consistent Chromeo, with some diva-styled guest vocals from Solange Knowles. Breakbot turns in a punchy disco remix (both the Lifelike and Hercules & The Love Affair remixes are worth a see in too):
Chromeo – When The Night Falls (Breakbot Remix)(feat. Solange Knowles) {HQ aiff file}[pelski highly recommends]
Some jazzy, energetic tribal house music of the dirtbird/deadfish ilk:

Camel – Coconuts (Leg-No Remix)
Funky, soulful r&b-laced number from Lightspeed Champion and Test Icicles and Theophilus London co-writer Dev Hynes:
Blood Orange – Dinner {192kbps}
Thuis sublime, unreleased edit of James Blake’s ‘Limit To Your Love’ lays a gentle, groovy house beat beneath Blake’s croon:
James Blake – Limit To Your Love (Few Nolder Edit) {128kbps}
