Lykke Li’s impossibly uplifting pop number has been given a magnificent remix. It’s a brash, uninhibited rework, unafraid to throw in big cartoonish piano keys, ecstatic hand claps and a chunky-as-anything analogue synth. It’s shamelessly hands-in-the-air fodder, and all the better for it:

Simon Baker – one of my favorite artists – is finally releasing his long awaited debut album, ‘Traces’. The Leeds techno/house stalwart has been around long enough… doing bits and bobs here and there, running his own imprint Infant and putting out some damn fine original productions and, notably, remixes over the last ten years or so. Two years ago RCRDLBL handed out this 192kbps of his remix of singer-songwriter Cortney Tidwell, and, in anticipation of ‘Traces’, here it is:
