‘Chicago’ by jozif remains one of the most captivating tracks of the year. Instantly catchy, deep, nostalgic and yet utterly distinctive.
Lucky for us then that this jozif chap is so keen on handing out freebies. And, in case you hadn’t noticed, disco edits of pop songs seem to be all the rage right now. As such, jozif gives a light tweaking to Chromatics, Bat For Lashes and The Beatles (each of these edits appeared on jozif’s recent acclaimed Resident Advisor mix):

His take on the Chromatics’ cover of Kate Bush has only a few subtle tweaks: a thickening of the gushing of strings, plus a simple slapping kick, à la Soul Clap. It more than does the trick:
