Monkeying around

We’ve a whole host of goodies here, mostly courtesy of our partners in crime Jackmode:

I can’t stop playing this lovely, deep remix of Angie Stone classic ‘Wish I Didn’t Know’ by the Danish duo signed to What!What! Records. A flutter of tribal knocks and a reassuring bass drum underlay the familiar, soulful vocals. This freebie has kindly been thrown out to promote MS’s latest EP ‘Saturday Night Fish‘.

The German twosome Hickup have been turning heads lately with the impossibly stripped back ‘Hickup Theme’ on Five Years of Made To Play, consisting of little more than a humming sub and sparse conga beat. On this bootleg, they cut their source material’s vocal up into a stuttering, rattling intstrument in itself, fitted alongside a kick drum and an unrelenting surge of bass:
Bonus: Ramon Tapia – Insertion {192kbps}
