Back so soon you say? Our last conquest saw us load the cannon with some of the most down right rawkus talents around, with leading labels such as Made To Play, Jackmode, Dirtybird, Turbo & Deadfish providing the ammunition. Our much respected mercenaries, came saw and conquered from far and wide, hence we decided that for round 2 we should shimmy out a few more of their heavyweight counterparts to put another dent in the warehouse foundations. Brace yourself, reload and shoot again sir, this is what’s in store for 18th December…

With one foot firmly cemented in the roots of dance music, alongside an intimidatingly strong reputation, we give you Jesse Rose. Renowned as one of Berlin’s busiest men, he needs little introduction to those who know. Having run Front Room Recordings and Made To Play over the last 10 respective years, he’s worked closely with label playmates Riva Starr, Jan Driver, Renaissance man, Jamie Anderson and Switch to name but a few. We have no doubt that Mr. Jesse Rose will be shaking the place to the proverbial ground, making it an absolute pleasure to have him down for the occasion.
They’ve always maintained their say when it comes to duked up tribal tech house, and if their last performance at the November Pelski vs Jackmode was anything to go by, then I’d strongly advise you to bring your hard hat for heavy duty safe house protection. Our headlining label boss Jesse Rose made these boys the party starting residents at the official Made To Play parties at Panorama Bar in Berlin, lets just hope they serve that special dose of spanked rhythms for us at Counter Culture again.
His recent remix of Aloe Blac’s ‘I Need A Dollar’ hit over 1000 downloads and 3000 plays on Soundcloud in a mere few weeks. Such antics have affirmed his place as a worthy hitter on the recent ‘5 Years of Made To Play’ compilation, not just as an artist, but as Jesse Rose’s official assistant engineer and label mixer. Let’s hope both players are up for a re-hash of the magic moment that was the Miami Music Conference a few summers back, where Jesse & Oliver went back to back for 3 hours on the main-stage. You gotta give Mr. $ some credit since he ditched his days flipping burgers in the back kitchen, with his name now firmly stamped on the big menus, where he’s smiling with a sweet tooth that’s flipped and fried clubland for pudding.
Flying in from Belfast for their second showing under the Pelski spotlight are Jet Project (only, this time we have both of them). Signed to Booka Shade’s Get Physical as well as releasing a slew of impressive house and techno tunes on Viva, Darkroom Dubs, Intimacy Music and their own imprint Get Digital. Their 2009 album ‘Heads In The Clouds’, was a 2009 must-have, filled with deep and dubby tribal cuts, house groovers and throbbing techno bangers; each track as intricately constructed as the next. Some stunning recent releases have seen yet more hype lauded upon Jet Project in 2010, including ‘Message From Chi-Town’, their ode to Chicago house, and ‘Understand This’ a lucid, techy track, riding an infectious soulful sample. Their most recent release comes from their own imprint Extended Play, with remix duties picked up by Rampa & Re.You, Half Inch Jack, Buckley, Bubba, and Jon Woodall.
