You probably associate The Round Table Knights with chirpy electro-pop thanks to their brilliant singalong anthem ‘Hold Me Back’ of last summer; or perhaps you associate them with their blogged bmore mashups, ‘Freak For Desire’ and ‘Baltimore Clock Rock’. But lately they’ve taken a turn towards a stripped-back brand of tech-house, forging comparable sounds to Zombie Disco Squad upbeat house. Their remix of Radioclit’s much remixed and re-released ‘Seccousse’ certainly beat all the others out of the park.
Lately, the Swiss duo are pushing a tech-house sound, with an infusion of tribal flairs and tropical percussion. I recently approached Round Table Knights and they kindly agreed to a post of their remix of El Guincho’s ‘Kalise’ – a tune I haven’t stopped playing. El Guicho’s ‘Kalise’ was originally released back in 2007 and can be found on his 2008 album Alegranza!, and has now received a housey rework by RTKs. The irresistible charm of the vocal chant slots between the chipper house beats and congos.

I also asked them about their standout remix of Dubbel Dutch’s ‘Trollsta’, but Dubbel Dutch then told me that Palms Out will be handing me the 320 release when the EP is released. Hold tight for that one.
