Round Table Knights are my hotly tipped duo for 2009 (and beyond) – but it doesn’t take a genius to work out they’re going places. They’ve just been signed to Mowgli’s ‘Deadfish’ label, have succesfully dabbled in all sorts of sounds, and now they have the Belly Dance EP (hitting the number one spot in pelski’s September chart) droppin in three days, so head to Beatport sharpish. For free downloads of RTK’s Summer mix and awesome Kalise remix check out this post.
RTK have put together a neat little edit of Style of Eye’s ‘Grounded’. I urge you to go and buy the original release: it’s whacky, bouncy tech-house and – I know this accolade gets batted around alot – truly one of the best tunes of the summer. RTK cut the shouty clamour out of the last quarter and clean things up for the dancefloor. A very helpful DJ edit, though the original is still worth the cash:

Next, Round Table Knights strip the cowbell-laden electro of Larytta’s original back to a spaced-out house number, with some lovely techy clicks-and-clacks. Gets better with each listen:
Bonus: Word just came through that the TEED remix of Crystal fighters has been cleared for blogging. If the more minimal rerubs of Renaissance Man and L-Vis 1990 didn’t get you rocking enough, this certainly will:
