And So It Was Done…

You can call him ‘The Bearer of Beats’, but some of you call him ‘Pelski’.
It is he who has wandered the way of the interweb,
where he has met the calling cries of praise and persecution
that the blogosphere has besieged upon him.
And on his journeys he has brought you the treasures of his travels,
in the form of mp3, from DJ’s who make house beats.
And for a great stretch of time and without decline,
his efforts have been worthy, providing the beats and dancey treats,
to a generation who is always thirsty.
But there comes a day when times are grey,
and the valiant must meet their match.
As once be told, one will always be bold, if they face their foes with tact.

That day doth came when the club night was named,
and Pelski found himself in East London. Where the scenesters lay,
in packs some say, with haircuts that looked meaner than Russian AK’s.
It was there in a warehouse of epic proportion,
covered in glitter and fluro caution;
that he stumbled upon one who was known by some,
as the venerable DJ ‘Charles Darkly’.
However his name seemed unfitting through his pale disposition,
and most seemed to call him ‘Darby’.
They conversed on the subject of many a beat,
from techno to tribal and afrobeat;
and it is from this moment let it be known,
that he had found a rival to challenge his throne.

It was at this moment that Pelski knew,
the possibilities were endless if they joined as two.
So the scene was set and the deal was done,
the one called ‘Darkly’ was his chosen one.
And with keyboard swords and rapport for the hoards,
they carved their names upon the blog-roll walls.
For all to see, far and wide, this was the turning of the tide.

..Pelski’s Quest..

So there you have it folks, that’s the story, tell it round the campfire to your kids. I’m going to keep this short and sweet, and leave you with my first mixtape I’ve done for you. I’ll spare you the boring details about me and where I come from, and what I’m saying, as I’ll soon be imposing my opinions upon you in the following posts.

All you really need to know is I’m Pelski’s DJ, and I’m sticking around this cyber-town for a while, “So put my mule round back Pelski, and put my laptop on charge, and get some god dam wireless in this joint!”

Here’s the tape then, it’s a smash up of electro, techy, tribal tomfoolery, infused with a few funked out jazzy snippets. If you enjoy the tape and wish to book me for any event, please contact me on myspace, I’ll play anywhere and everywhere.

Much Obliged,

Squire to Your Beat,

Charles Darkly
