A marvelous freebie here from San Francisco’s Avalon Emerson; high-octane stuff – a gleeful thwack and clatter of percussion clamour over pummelling beats and a wiggling bassline – that wouldn’t sound out of place at a gritty early-90’s warehouse party. Perhaps most delicious of all is a female soul vocal (taken from Bohannon 1978 ‘Me And The Gang’) peeking out from behind the booming racket:
