Calvin Harris accuses Jakwob of copyright theft

Calvin Harris (yes, the guy who has got hugs for you if you were born in the 80s) has pointed the finger at young dubstep producer Jawkwob, accusing him of stealing chords from Harris’  2010 hit ‘I’m Not Alone’. In typical 21st century style, the accusation has been made via Twitter in regards to Jackwob’s new single ‘Fade’ featuring Maiday.

Calvin tweeted a simple and haughty: “New Jakwob track come on son what the fuck.”

Jakwob’s equally compact response was: “What’s this about!?”

Calvin Harris replied: “You lifted my chords from ‘I’m Not Alone’ but don’t worry about it I really like them!”

Cue Alex Metric and Herve  jumping into the argument to support Calvin Harris’s claims. Others have disagree and suggested the ‘I Get All The Girls’ singer is being egotistical.

The Twitter spat follows last week’s news that Calvin Harris is being paid 320,000 for a DJ set at Tamara Ecclestone’s wedding – according to The Herald.
