Lone‘s ‘Re-Schooling’ has already been lauded with much praise across the board, but just in case any of you missed this classic house inspired goodness, then here she goes again. Matt Cutler’s floaty old skool hash backs come filtered through the lost highs of 90′s, and must be a pleasant lullaby to the ‘seen better days’ pill head still lying in your local motorway lay-by. If you like this, be sure to check out ‘Emerald Fantasy Tracks’ at Boomkat. This one will sparkle nicely under the tree for you.
Our Canadian counterpart Milt featured about half a year ago here at the Pelski blog. Since then he’s released material on Discobelle Records, with that oh so classy troop of Swedish house cats, who featured ‘Pluto’ on DJ Neoteric’s ‘Turned On Volume 1′ release. ‘Pluto’ is an outrageously tuneless squeaker that makes Dutch house look good, as not only does it add a few of those essential Dutch pancake ingredients up in the mix, but there’s a jaunty rhythm section and some quality sampling too. Play it in the club for package approved pandemonium.
An ever recurring player on my playlist, and fast becoming a future bass favourite is our man Dark0, and rest assured my dear cynics, it’s not just because he’s oh so dark by name. Listen to his productions, and you will find that they strum a melancholic chord that causes quivers across the equilibrium of sentimental dubstep. His new track ‘Hyli’ is no exception, with it’s candy floss vocals and feet warming winter sub.
