Exclusive ‘Blah Blah Blah’ Mix Series EP 14

One producer to really make me sit up in 2009 is Riva Starr. His weird thudding house release on Claude Von Stroke’s WTF EP brought him into the lime-light in 2008, but just when everyone thought they had his sound down, he to knocked everyone’s expectation sideways with an altogether different tune – but equally weird and wonderfully – the bongo-infused War Drums. My personal favourite is the criminally overlooked tech-house beauty ‘Generation Noize‘, posted here. Whether he’s crafting bouncy house beats or minimal tech, Riva Starr’s one of the most exciting producers around right now.

This exclusive 45 minute mix is quite simply captivating; every tune expertly chosen. From the outset this cheerful tech-house mix ropes you in with Renaissance Man’s huge ‘Spraycan‘ all the way through to the soothing Jesse Rose album finale. And there’s a couple of upcoming Riva Starr remix gems to preview in there too:
See Riva Starr smash Room 1 of Trouble Vision on 24th April.

Watch out for more mixes on the WeAreBlahBlahBlah series and subscribe to them here. Their blog‘s worth a peek too.
