I couldn’t help but post this huge tune from Belgium’s house maestro Lazy Jay. Don’t ask what the vile term ‘Lazy Jay’ actually means (if you must, look it up on Urban Dictionary)… but I’m hoping it has some other meaning I’m overlooking.
His ‘Float My Boat’ was released a month ago on Big & Dirty Records. A gigantic thumping kick drum hammers away before a piping, whistling hook kicks in. Be sure to buy Lazy Jay’s Tomahawk, a house banger in the same vein as Float My Boat, as well as Honk My Horn, a more techy affair. Expect Lazy Jay to blow up this year:

On remix duties is diverse DJ and producer Pablo Decoder, whose sound swings between electro, techno and breaks. He burst onto the London scene after relocating from Cadiz Spain, teaming up with Tim Healey (from house duo Coburn) to form electro-rock outfit The Death Kit. Since, Decoder’s seen releases on Kitsune, Southern Fried, Lot49, Spirit Recordings and Big & Dirty. His fast-paced techno remix brings a rolling momentum to a cut-up edit of Lazy Jay’s original. Expect to see more Pablo Decoder around these parts:
