‘Matenlo‘ which literally translates as ‘Kill It’, are just one example of the transatlantic cross beat breed emerging out of Chile at the moment. Using a heavy sprinkling of Afro Latin percussion and Andin instrumentals, they leave us with a duked up South American house twist, perfect for the rays of sun gradually peeking their way out for Summer. We can also expect Matenlo to launch their new live act ‘Matanza’, the translation being ‘Massacre’ (I’m starting to feel these guys have a clear mission for our dance-floors).
