The FXHE label had a fantastic 2012 and is on course for another big year with news of Omar S’ third album.
In an interview with Juno Plus, the Detroit artist and DJ revealed his third album is titled Thank You For Letting Me Be Myself and will comprise 14 new, previously unheard tracks.
The album will include a collaboration with L’Renee who provided the vocals on Omar S’ sultry house bomb ‘S.E.X.’ Listen to the album preview clips here.
Last year saw the release of ‘Wayne County Hill Cop’s (Part.2)’, ‘Tonite’, ‘S.E.X.’ and ‘Oh Jabba’ to heavy rotation and widespread acclaim.
The Detroit pioneer told Juno Plus that he chose the title Thank You For Letting Me Be Myself because “all my fans kept telling me to be yourself, keep doing what you do….This is why I did this album, for my fans. I wanted this to be a good listening album from beginning to end…”
When asked about the artwork, the notoriously outspoken artist told Juno Plus : “Artwork is not important here, who looks at artwork on the dance floor you know? Only a momma’s boy cares about artwork!”
