I know what you’re thinking: not another Crystal Fighters remix. Enough is enough. But this one really turns the trendy, maximal ruckus of the original around, stripping it back into to some minimal house. The result is barely recongnisable, a humming,techy buzz of bass builds a driving momentum before dropping into a satisfying medley of clicks, clacks and congas. Mesmerising stuff. Fans of Renaissance Man should lap this up:
You may rememmber I posted Myd’s choppy, tropical anthem a while back. Well Femme En Fourrure have produced an excellent remix of that too. Slamming techno beats disguise the original’s chipper spirit. Keep you’r eyes peeled for Femme En Fourrure’s forthcoming ‘Pull Out’ release.

Those feeling Pellegrino Sounds’ minimal, inventive house music should enjoy the new direction Helsinki’s Top Billin have taken their productions in. Best known for their crazy baltimore and crunk productions, Top Billin have done a mighty fine job on this one. The african percussion is low-key, minimal and yet catchy as hell:
