Trouble Vision 2 [pelski highly recommends]

YoucancallmePelski is still fighting a gruelling battle with the neighbour’s internet connection. But desperate times call for desperate measures: stealing my neighbour’s shoddy wireless signal is a haphazard blogging process, with my internet continually knocked offline every five minutes. So this post is unfortunately not the official return of your favourite blogger; or at least ur favourite blogger who irritatingly referrs to himself in the 3rd person. No, Pelski’s writing to alert you to the second coming of Trouble Vision; upon us in a mere five days.

The launch night of Trouble Vision saw a wide range of dance music spread across three seperate rooms – encompassing dubstep, electro, techno, hip hop, bmore and bassline – coupled with an intimate venue rammed with a vibrant, buzzing crowd. The outstanding line-up did not dissapoint. Highlights included Rusko, Jack Beats, Tomb Crew and Foamo. Friday 14th November sees another huge line-up at Corsica Studios. Here’s a couple of words from the Trouble Vision crew:

After the most colossal launch party on the 19th September (thanks all who came) we’re back with another lineup that’ll truly rattle your ribs! Room1 will see an exclusive live set from former Bugged Out guests NOZE, with support from voodoo raver DRUMS OF DEATH, electro monsters JOE & WILL ASK? and much more. Room 2 will be on a more jackin-dub-stepping-hip-hopping-house vibe with Ireland’s wonder boy DETBOI topping the bill alongside Trailor Trash’s HANNAH HOLLAND with beefy support from residents and friends. Last but not least we welcome back the infamous Silent Disco with a whole host of old and new guests plus free sambuca for those early birds.

Below is a 10 minute taster of Trouble Vision Two – a minimix showcasing some of the artists sharing Friday’s bill:

Taking the top spot are Noze, a Parisian duo crafting beatifully melodic electronica. It’s humming and thrumming techno infused with an upbeat poppy vibe. Techno? And pop? Perhaps a contradiction in terms, but Noze’s pleasing rhythms and strange vocals are enchanting, and hard to pidgeon hole. There’s plucky strings, piano melodies, house kick drums and brooding atsmosphere by the bucketload. It’s certainly not the usual brand of biosterous electro noise we’ve come to associate with the Parisian scene. Noze’s third album was released in April to critical acclaim on Get Physical – the German label founded by Booka Shade, M.A.N.D.Y. and DJ T. Noze’s soothing yet chirpy minimal sounds should make for an engaging live set in Room 1.

Below is a CD rip of Noze’s ‘Slum Girl’ from Booka Shade’s DJ Kicks album. Animated instruments provide an urging momentum and an ominous air. Invigorating stuff:
