Sneak peek at new Mount Kimbie material

mountLast night on his renowned Hessle Audio show, Ben UFO had what he called a ‘Zane Lowe moment’ and played a never-before-heard clip of new Mount Kimbie material ‘Made to Stray’. The news sparked a buzz of excitement across social media channels.

‘Made To Stray’ reveals a slight change in direction the duo’s previously light-footed sound, incorporating elements of brooding techno that wouldn’t sound out of place in Berlin’s clubbing fortress Panorama Bar.

Mount Kimbie burst onto the scene in 2009 with two EPs, followed quickly by their debut album entitled Crooks & Lovers released in 2010 on Hotflush Recordings. The album was an instant success with songs like ‘Before I Moved Off’ demonstrating a more low-key approach to bass music, complimented by live instrumentation.

Mount Kimbie fans will be pleased to hear that after such a long time in the studio, the London duo have most definitely come up with the goods.
